Q - Who are you?

I'm Michael Buckley, the New York Times Bestselling author of The Sisters Grimm series, The NERDS series, Kel Gilligan's Daredevil Stunt Show, and the Undertow Trilogy. Before I became a writer for kids, I worked as a stand-up comic, singer in a punk rock band, advertising copy writer, and television producer. I also co-created, co-wrote, and co-produced the Cartoon Network animated series, Robotomy.

Q - Where were you born?

I grew up in Akron, Ohio. I have a brother and a bunch of step brothers and sisters. I went to Ohio University then moved to New York City in 1996 to be an intern on The Late Show with David Letterman. I've been in NY ever since.

Q - What's your favorite book?

I never really know how to answer that question. There are just too many books to pick one, but growing up I loved The Mouse and the Motorcycle by Beverly Cleary, and anything by Roald Dahl. I love John Steinbeck and William Mailer and JK Rowling. See, I can't just name one book. I'd say the last thing I read that really moved me was Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norelle.
